    Expanded Gambling In Massachusetts Could Affect Rhode Island Economy, Says Study

    A study sponsored by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for its New England Research Project has revealed that decisions to expand gambling in Massachusetts could have an overwhelming effect on Rhode Island’s coffers. Prof. Clyde Barrow of the Center for Policy Analysis at UMass Dartmouth who made the study said Rhode Island’s gambling industry, the state’s third largest revenue source is dependent on every decision Massachusetts makes regarding any gambling activity in the state.

    A study made by UMass-Dartmouth’s Center for Policy Analysis has disclosed that Massachusetts residents spent more gambling money at gambling facilities outside their state in 2009.

    Armed Robbers Storm Swiss Casino Take Hundreds Of Thousands In Cash

    A gang of robbers armed with machine guns broke into a Swiss casino at 4 am on Sunday, startling the more or less 600 gamblers and employees and taking a large amount of cash corresponding to hundreds of thousand of pounds.
